I wasn't aware until another newsletter I subscribe to sent this letter out this morning, which I restacked. I am in utter disbelief as to how this is allowed?! I will follow you wherever you go, Meg, trusting in your judgement.

I'll follow you anywhere, Meg! I understand it might be asking a lot, but if it's possible to share the platform you're planning to move to, I'd love to explore other options myself (I'm open to an email if you'd rather not share here).

You are so amazing. I plan on opening it up to paid subscribers to give me feedback on the options. The one I like best right now is just a simple newsletter embed via something like mailchimp in a standalone site with community options. (I’ve been building out the latter.) but there are other services, with apps and whatnot. I just think I want to keep it very very simple, if a move has to happen. Which. Ah, why?!? Crying again.

I’ll follow you to whatever platform, as you know, and I’ve also been watching the problems with Substack come out while feeling conflicted about supporting several writers (like you) on here whose work I really value. Thanks as always for speaking out.

And let me just add that I unironically love your continued use of “fork” even when dropping a perfectly timed f-bomb is one of

your superpowers.

Meg, thank you thank you for speaking out and supporting this effort--it is so horrifying that they have not only allowed but encouraged(!) these types of people to write on substack. You, as you always do, are leading the way for others, and like others i will follow you wherever you go...and will prepare to join in moving if they cannot respond and take action in this. 💜

You are a wonderful writer, and that's why we're all here! And also why we'll go wherever you decide to go.

The fact that they’re *promoting* the Nazis is the worst part. There will always be Nazis lurking on the internet, but you don’t need to PROMOTE them!

Yeah, I realized I had to figure out something different when I saw that one of the founders of Substack had Richard Hanania on his official Substack podcast this last summer. Hanania’s views are extreme and horrifying.

Meg I’m not going anywhere. I’m here because you moved here and I’ll follow wherever you land.
